Plaster Bandage

Plaster gauze bandages were originally used in the early 1800s as a splint for a broken or injured limb. Plaster is produced from mined gypsum and heated to about 148ºC to produce plaster of Paris.
The best way to use plaster bandages is by dipping them in water and squeezing them. Be sure that water reaches the centre of the gauze bandage as well. Once you find the edge you can begin wrapping the gauze around the item you wish to mold or cast. For projects such as plaster face masks, the perfect size to use is 5 cm or 7.5 cm plaster bandages. For pregnancy mother molds, the best size to use is 15cm or 20cm as these are much wider and cover a larger area. Compare our brand with Modroc.
